PAW5 Co-Founders, Dennis O’Donnell and Eric Griffin, approached OffLeash Communications with an innovative product idea that would be the foundation for an incredible brand driven to develop smart, sustainable solutions to the canine unemployment problem. Determined to carve out a new category in the industry for enrichment feeders, Dennis and Eric tapped OffLeash to create a strong brand and effective marketing strategy for their new business.
Through competitive analysis, OffLeash Communications worked with PAW5 to develop the perfect position for the new brand within the industry, and used this to effectively develop the right personality, tone and visual identity for the brand. This included everything from the name, slogans, color palettes and messaging to the web design, photography, packaging and launch strategy. The OffLeash team researched, brainstormed and designed for 6 months, laying the foundation for the brand’s launch in January 2016.
As the first product offering from PAW5, the Rock N’ Bowl was the perfect introduction to the industry with its clever design and sustainable manufacturing process. The OffLeash team continued to work with PAW5 to increase brand awareness and product trial through content marketing, influencer relations and social media marketing.
Soon after the Rock N’ Bowl launched, Wooly, the official snuffle mat, was born. The OffLeash team again worked with PAW5 on naming, packaging design, launch strategy, and implementation efforts for introducing the one-of-a-kind product to the pet industry. Due to the Wooly’s unique look, functionality and environmentally-friendly production process, the product was well-received by consumers, influencers and pet industry veterans alike.
